Through my own experience, I wanted to create something that could bring a little bit of comfort to other families facing their own hospital journeys.
Our Hospital Hug Packs are filled with practical essentials, little treats and thoughtful items that can hopefully make someone's hospital stay just a little easier.
They are not designed to fix what a family is going through.
They are simply a reminder that someone cares.
A reminder that they're not forgotten & a little something to make them smile during a difficult day.
Darcies Hospital Hugs is incredibly personal to me.
Every pack is created with the knowledge of what it feels like to sit beside your child in hospital, to worry about what comes next and to wish you could make everything better.
I know that I can't take away the difficult days for another family.
But if one of our packs can bring a little comfort, make a parent smile, or give a child something lovely to look forward to, then it is completely worth it.
Nobody talks about the impact it has on your mental health in the hospital, so even just having these packs to be able to freshen up and feel a little bit better in yourself might make a small difference to someone.Β
Darcies' journey inspired this little project, but Darcies Hospital Hugs is for every family facing a hospital stay.
From my little family to yours, we hope every hug reminds you:
You are not alone. π
